I've been using the MVP for a couple months now and I'm very happy with it. The only thing that I'm not completely happy with is needing to point the remote DIRECTLY at it for it to work. Any other IR device I have can have the remote just pointed in the general direction and works fine, the MVP really needs to be dead on. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? I'm using the 34 button remote that came with it, but I just ordered a 45 button remote for the extra buttons, not really expecting it to have better range.
I'm considering buying an "Around the House Remote Control Extender" which claims to convert virtually all IR remotes to RF remotes by inserting a special device in place of one of the batteries. Anyone used one of these before?
