Files in root of C?
The reason I'm asking is TOO STUPID TO MENTION. Just forget about that part. Anyway:
Does Sage add anything to the root of C during install? INI or BAT files or anything? Go look real quick and let me know. Thanks. Also: I am a dumb.

Thanks, garcia21. got a little panicked for a second (and needed to reset my IR converter, as it happens, purely by coincidence).
And better? Thanks to M$'s tweakui, I've finally got a zero-intervention way of transferring clips collected from hither and yon onto the sage with one of those little flash drives. Yay! Thanks again. And remember: take note of what directory you're in before testing a batch file that contains [del *.*]. Duh.
