How do I set up USB-UIRT for BEV 3100

I saw a link to a file Jon posted with the IR setting to have Sage control an ExpressVu 3100 tuner. I'm just waiting for my USB-UIRT to arrive.

1) Where to I put this config file? What needs to be done to configure it assuming I have this file? (found here http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...7891#post37891

2) I will set up an el-cheapo UnivRemote to control Sage. Can I just invoke the Setup wizard? Is it easy to do?

Thanks in advance for your help

The USB-UIRT .ir files go in:
<install path>\SageTV\Common\RemoteCodes\USB-UIRT Transceiver\

The device files in that directory are presented during the source setup process, shown in step 6 on p. 147 of the v4.1 manual.

Instead of going through the entire Configuration Wizard, you can also go to Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Remote Control Configuration to configure a remote to control SageTV. Then, use the Link...Command button to assign remote buttons to commands.

Thanks for that. I read also about usb-uirt driver file that is needed to be placed somewhere.
see: http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...sb-uirt+driver

I think with my version 4 I don't need that file anymore, correct?

I sure hope my USB-UIRT arrives today or I'll have nothing to do this W/E : (
