Fast Forward / Rewind questions
Hello - I can get Sage to fast foward and rewind by jumping forward or back either 10 seconds or 2.5 minutes and I realize these can be adjusted.
However, the smoth FF works but actually it seems to only be going at the play speed and not 2x or 4x, etc. I'm wondering if that can be adjusted and if it's possible to have two settings for that. Also the smooth rewind doesn't seem to work either. Finaly, is there a slow motion or 1/2 or 1/4 play? Thanks, Mike |

Are you using the smooth FF/REW commands in Windows, an MVP, for a recording, a DVD, or what? The bottom of p. 199 in the v4.1 manual mentions limitations of those commands. Also: they aren't adjustable and will toggle betwen various FF/REW speeds & back to normal speed.

Hello - okay, so to clarify, at this time there is no smooth rewind/fast forward when operating under windows? In other words, we should just use the standard skip forward or back the number of seconds defined in our setup? Frankly, I like that way better anyways but I was just checking to see if it's possible to see the fast forward / rewind like one does with Tivo (without the MVP)?
Correct me if I'm wrong here (since I haven't tested it) but it seems like rather than set the first FF / REW speed to say 10 seconds, what if someone set it to say 1 or 2 seconds and then just held down the FF or Rew key so that it repeated? Thanks again, Mike |

that is sort of what my continuous ff/rew plugin does... except that it waits for the skip to finish before skipping again - when holding down a key, if the autorepeat is too fast, there will be a bunch of skips still going after you release the key
