DirecTV Control questions

I'm tryring to use the DirecTV Control utility (DirecTV Control.exe) to configure my D10's to remove the DirecTV OSD but I have two issues:

1) I have two D10's on COM1 and COM3. How do I point "DirecTV Control.exe" to a specific COM port?

2) When I do run "DirecTV Control.exe" I get the error message:
Unable to open port COM1 - Port is already in use (Error 5)
How do I get it to talk to the D10? Do I have to stop the SageTV service first?

Thanks.

matt

Click on the DTV icon in the upper left then go to settings to configure com port and receiver model.

Yes, if SageTV is already configured to control it then you need to stop the service and close SageTV.

Do you know the specific command to enter and where to disable the OSD?

When you switch to the D10 model you'll see a button that says Hide, click that and your OSD goes away. I have noticed that this seems to slow down channel changes a bit but you can judge that for yourself.
