Album Art

I'm ripping to ape format and playing back via the winamp plugin. It works great.

What's the best/easiest way to get cover art?
Is there an automatic way to download it?

Cheers,
Phill

I use Album Cover Art Downloader (where'd they ever get that name??).

You can find it here:

http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/

Edit: Not sure if it supports "ape" files though.

Get this:
Tag and Rename
Latest Changes:
Added support for cover art in APE tags
Rename file/folder window (F6 shortcut) added back
Fixed proble with some mp4 video files (old Tag&Rename version can corrupt video in this files after editing tags)
A lot of minor fixes and optimizations

Thanks for that, that works pretty well. It's a bit buggy though isn't it?
I have to expand the folder, select a track and then colapse the folder before clicking on the download albums button. If I do it any other way, it doesn't work. It's not much of a chore.

I can't say I've noticed anything too glaring when using it... although I've only used it to tag mp3s. It has crashed a couple of times, but I don't remember the causes. Probably partly my own doing.

Actually, it's not buggy, it's just got a funny design feature. There's a few ways to tell it to download cover art and install it. In almost all of the ways it tries to download the art and attatch it to the MP3 tags which doesn't work for APE files. You have to do this odd little drop down a level and then go back up again to make it put the image in the directory as a folder.jpg file. It's a shame you can't set options to do this automatically because with MP3s you can just select your my music directory and tell it to just download everything it can.

Still, it won't take too long to download everything.
