OSD - Keeping it On

Hello - when Sage displays the OSD (like when changing channels) then I would like it to stay on for the time designated in the setup. However, if I press the INFO button on my remote, I would like to program it so that the OSD stays on until I press it again. Is there a key/command that will do this?

Thanks,
Mike

I think you can do what you want by turning off the OSD Autohide. Look at Setup->Detailed Setup->Custimize and then OSD Autohide.

No. If you turn off OSD autohide, it will not go away on its own at all, so you would also have to use the Info command to hide it after it gets autodisplayed.

You would have to do some Studio work to have the timeout ignored when the OSD is fired from the Info command (and would have to be careful to have that setting reset properly).

You understand the problem here...Sage is automatically displaying the OSD when I change channels and often I would prefer it only display it for a second or so so I can see what channel it's on. But, when I press the info button, I don't want to have to feel like I'm speed reading the plot in the OSD.

Is there any setting or anything that I can do?

Thanks,
Mike

Like I said above, there is no existing setting for the dual way you want it to work.

If it is more important that the OSD stay visible for a longer time when you use the Info command, set the timeout to a longer time. Then, you can get rid of the OSD more quickly after a channel change by pressing Info to get rid of the OSD.
