Thumbs down 30 Second wait between searches

FORUM SEARCHING

Any chance of getting this knocked down a bit? 30 Seconds seems like too long, especially when I search for something and come up empty - gotta twiddle my thumbs before I am able to try a different search. 10-15 Seconds sounds a bit more reasonable.

What are you searching for and where? Are you in the Guide or in Recordings or seraching extenal like IMDB? How large is your wiz.bin? Are you searching from a client or on the server? I'm not sure where the processing is done but how powerful is your server?

I usually pick a forum and a keyword or two. 4-5 seconds for the search.

There is a 30 second limit between searches because in the past too many searches were causing problems on the forum's server.

I'm not saying to get rid of the limit, just asking about at least lowering it.

It has been quite a while since we've tried lowering it & the forum is on a differnet server now, so we are going to see how 20 seconds works.
