unable to record anymore.
Hello, I've been using sage for a couple of months now and have had my fair share of incidents with playback errors, however now I'm given a capture error in playback -2x80040207:There was a problem using a SageTV component.
I've reinstalled 4.1.13 which I was originally using, got the same error, then 4.1.3 to see if that would help. Didn't. I'm able to watch old recordings, but nothing new. I'm not aware of any special changes to my system when the error started. Thank you for your time. I'll be unable to respond for about 9 hours as I'll be at work. |

Do you mean new recordings can't be created, or just that playback isn't working? I don't know if this could possibly cause recording failures, but are all your recordings Manual Recordings, which can't be deleted automatically by SageTV, and there is no more disk space left?
You could turn on debugging, try to record something, then send in the debug log. - Andy

new recordings can't be created, there's like 30ish GB free on the drive it's using, and the majority are favorites.
Unfortunatly, I can't seem to upload the sagetv_0 file, but the vast majority of it is the following with the liveWait and time updating every iteration: Code:
Wed 4/19 1:34:11.644 VF network encoder playback detected: false Wed 4/19 1:34:11.645 VF waiting for data to appear in new file...liveWait=-172976 Wed 4/19 1:34:11.645 VF thread is now waiting for 0:00:00.200 Wed 4/19 1:34:11.860 VF processing job VFJob[LoadMF r=0.0 t=0 file=MediaFile[id=252586 A[217394,217039,"Worldwide Exchange",10139@0419.01:00,120] host=ERIC encodedBy=Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture Great H:\sage\WorldwideExchange-217394-0.mpg, Seg0[Wed 4/19 1:31:18.669-Wed 12/31 16:00:00.000]] ifn=null] nPlayin=false |

Are the favs set for manual delete only? Is the Video Recording dir set to use all the space on the drive?
And, is there something like Norton Recycle Bin active on that drive so that deleted files aren't actually deleted? If so, then there really isn't 30GB available to SageTV. The FAQ I linked to above has an email address you can use to send the log to SageTV. - Andy

What version of windows are you using?
What version of windows are you using?
I've found with Windows MCE 2005 that when there's a MCE specific update it will re-enable ehmsas.exe, ehRecvr.exe, ehSched.exe and ehtray.exe and then it will start grabbing tuners before SageTV can 'register' them. I kept on wondering why I'd loose two and only two of my tuners every few months ;-) Bobby |
