Good news! Sage 4 crashing, corrupt files and lockup issues solved by v4.1.10
Finally, the constant battle with Sage 4 falling all over itself has ended. The trouble started when I switched to Sage 4 (on a completely new system) in early January to run pure HDTV. Until four weeks ago I had been through many reinstallations of Sage including a couple of beta versions up through v4.1.6 trying to get the system stable. I installed v4.1.10 (and reinstalled Girder again) and the system has been rock solid for over four weeks. I have let the system run for days on end and tried stopping it after watching shows and restarting the system the next day. No hiccups nor corrupt files!! (Previously, I was lucky if the system would run for an evening without having problems.)
Installation was easy. I just followed the simple "How to install a new version of SageTV" instructions listed in the beta area and changed the STV to my modified one. My enjoyment of the system and WAF is back to 99%. The last 1% is a minor stuttering issue where frames are dropped during fast screen motion. I'll worry about that later. Thanks to Sage for what ever you did to make the system stable. Steve |

Great! Now, you'll be glad to hear that v5.0 has been released.
