Sage recording things on its own?
I explicitly did not set "enable inteligent recording", but that does not seem to have any sway with Sage. It still fills my disk up with recordings. How do I tell Sage to not record anything, unless I manually schedule it?
thanks, |

Are you saying you're getting programs listed in the Recorded Programs list or are you saying files are showing up in your video directory? Files will always show up in your video directory when you watch TV and when changing channels. SageTV constantly records to the hard drive. SageTV will clean this up automatically when it needs more room.

Are you putting Sage to sleep when not using it. Like Gerry said, Sage records everything you watch through it, so if you were watching a channel, it will just keep recording on that channel until you put it to sleep or another scheduled recording.

I don't sleep Sage, just go to the home screen that shows the sleep button. Will this then continue recording shows?

Just put it to sleep and it won't "suck" anymore.

The only bad thing about this is that you may accidentally "watch" a show while you are gone and won't get it recorded again as a favorite or an IR recording.
