Here they go again! (broadcast flag revisited?)

Some pretty alarming stuff in there if you read between the lines. Especially this part which seemed aimed directly at people like us:

His legislation would order the FCC to ban digital TV tuners, such as ElGato's EyeTV 500, that let users record over-the-air broadcasts and save them without copy protection.

"All your media are belong to us!"

It was mentioned that "they" thought that allowing people to share their files over their own networks was important. However they also realized this would be vigorously opposed by the MPAA and RIAA.

<sigh> Well maybe they'll cure me from watching too much television. Because I most certainly WILL NOT go back to watching live Tv and commercials, EVER!
