Video taking 15 seconds to load

Have finally upgraded my pc and got around to trying Sage out again.

I have everything working well, except the first time after loading, starting any video (LiveTV or Recorded TV) takes 15-20 seconds to load, during this time CPU hits 95% and the PC freezes completely.

I turned on logging and this seems to be the problem:

22:40:17.964 NATIVE RenderVideo step 3
22:40:35.675 Filter Graph Video Renderer Info:

Systems specs:
SageTV 2.2.8
Epia M1000
ATI Radeon 9250 PCI
512Mb RAM
80Gb System Disk running XP SP2 and only does SageTV and Slimserver
2 x 200Gb Data disks
Hauppauge PVR-USB2 connected to STB using USB-UIRT
Intervideo Hauppauge Non-CSS video & audio decoders
Overlay

Would re-installing Sage fix this, or upgrading to a newer version (I'm always worried of breaking it), or is my hardware not up to it?

Thanks

Andrew
