Serious speed fluctuations
I am running Placeshifter on a laptop. My server is using a Netgear Wireless -G Router. When watching video using Placeshifter my speed fluctuates from 250kbps to 1300kpbs constantly. Why am I having such speed fluctations? Obvious the speed is affecting the video quality.
 I am connected through the Internet as compared to the LAN. This is because I set up my server (via router) to be a fixed IP Address so that the port for Placeshifter would never have trouble accessing SageTV. Because of this, I am unable to currently connect via LAN, but I imagine the speed is more fixed. So why is the Internet transmission fluctuating so much?

Can you right-click on the title bar and view the statistics graph and then post a screen shot of that? It gives nicely detailed information about what's going on with your bandwidth.
