Authoring DVDs from MPEG2...

Hey guys, quick (easy, I'm sure) question for the gods out there.

I record my shows at the highest possible setting, mpeg2. In other words, I don't use any of the ones listed as "DVD." I want to burn a show to a DVD that was recorded at the highest setting, but when I throw the show into TMPGEnc DVD Author, it says that the video bitrate is 12000 kbps and that the DVD would not be a standard DVD if it was recorded.

The question is: Is that a problem? Is there a program that will downsample it to the 9800 kbps of a standard DVD? Or can I burn the non-standard bitrate to the DVD and have it still work in a set top player?

Thanks for the help!
