Help - Lost my wife's main chl from guide

For some reason HGTV has dissapeared from my guide (Chl 202 on Comcas - Seattle). I am using the guide that comes with Sage. Tried going through a setup again (several times) still no chl 202. It is not just turned of, I mean it does not exisist in the setup window..

Help is needed soon as the WAF was gaining ground and this could set me back to zero.....

What is the zip code you used during setup and what lineup did you select (there are several comcast lineups for the seattle area)?

I tried several.. I used both 98002 & 98092. The first gave me the Seattle digital lineup, the second Tacoma digital. Same result no chl 202. I also tried the non dogital with the same results. My wife is quick to jump on the computer causing all the problems, I need help fast.

Comcast Seattle - Seattle
Comcast Seattle Digital - Seattle

Is channel 202 available on your cable box? Did Comcast move the station to another channel or drop it all together?

What if you go into Channel Setup, is 202 available?

I have tried all three listings and 202 does not show in any of them. It does not show up in th channel setup page either. Comcast has not moved HGTV I can still get it on my other set tob boxes and this one if I tune it myself.

It's not listed on Zap2it's website either so it's an issue with the data Comcast is providing to Tribune. Maybe they are moving the channel shortly. I would contact them to see what they say and then let me know.

Do you receive HGTV on Channel 68?

Well Chl 68 shows up but has no data in it yet... I hope this is fixed in a few days.. Don't blame Sage or anyone else for this. It's just frustrating...

I've just lost my HBO channels from the guide in the same way. They were there one minute, I was recording one of the channels trying out two tuners at once. I decided to remove the second tuner, and then two of my HBO channels were gone. Hmmm, so I tried going back through the wizard to reset the channels, thinking I messed something up with the 2nd tuner. But even in the wizard, the channel just isn't there anymore. On a different television, I can see that still have HBO, but it's no longer in the guide and Sage won't let me tune to it. I tried uninstalling SageTV and re-installing it, but no joy there either. The channels are just gone from the guide. Is there any way for me to manually add the channel back in? 90% of the time we turn the television on it's to watch HBO, and now my main television no longer shows it. I can always tell me wife to go watch it on the 12" in the bedroom, but I think I know what the answer is going to be. BTW, I'm in Atlanta, using Biltmore Communications Midtown in zip 30309.

You need to contact your cable co and let them know that the data they provide TMS is missing that channel. My guess is that is missing because there lineup is in flux and perhaps they are moving it to another channel number. It could also just be a problem on there end they need to fix.

Is the channel available if you access your lineup via Zap2it.com?

No, the channel is missing from Zap2It as well (just checked, thanks for pointing me that way), which means it definitely wasn't me screwing it up switching tuners around (whew). I'll check with my provider, but in the meantime, is there a way for me to manually tune in a channel that's not in the guide?
