SageTV does not show using MVP
I just received my wireless MVP and I set everything up according to the instructions. I am running 5.0.4. When I turn on the MVP, it goes to the Hauppauge setup screen so I set up the wireless connection. How do I get the SageTV interface to start up?

I can't help you but you might be able to help me. Did you install any Hauppauge software. I can't even get my MVP to show me the wireless connection setup screens that you see. When I power up my MVP I get a screen that says something like "Boot failed; Use wired connection to recover" or something like that. Have you seen that message?

No, I did not install any Hauppauge software. My guess would be that you have a bad MVP.

I got it working by turning off Windows Firewall.
I followed the instructions in this post to add the ports to Windows Firewall but it still did not work until I turned off the firewall. I have since turned it back on and everything seems to be working. |

kminder - I had that problem in the past. I was able to recover by:
- Stopping Sage - Installing the Hauppauge software on another machine on the network. - Connect the MVP via a network cable. - Power off and on the MVP. After the MVP boots you should be able to uninstall the Hauppauge software and get the MVP to work with Sage. Also, make sure you firmware is 2.05. If it's 2.03 RMA the unit.
