Crash and reboot every time with live tv (hauppage 500)
I'm using a hauppage 500 pvr along with sage, and every time I hit live tv I get a hard crash (and reboot). I can never get past the part of the setup where you have to choose an input because the preview window crashes it every time, and if I skip that part of the setup it just crashes later when I click "view live tv". I tend to think it is not sage because it crashes when I use hauppage's capture software as well (right when I go to view the live feed). The only thing I can think is that it may be my older Gigabyte mb? I would really appreciate some help as I can't find a solution for this problem anywhere...
My other specs are: Gigabyte MB 150 gb hd hauppage 500 amd 64-bit 3200 ATI something (AGP x8, 9250 if I remember right) 1024 mb ram - Ty P.S. I have got sage working fine on another comp with that same card, so I guess I have some hope... but I need to get it working on the other comp 'cause it has a big hd that I bought just for recording tv (and the working comp only has 4 free gigs ![]() |

What's the chipset on that mb? A lot of people have reported problems when using the card with a mb that has a VIA chipset.

I've also heard of SIS and Ali chipsets giving problems with the card as well.
