Dxva
I'm finishing up my eval of the SageRecorder, it's working really well on my MCE machine but I've got one ourstanding question:
I've turned off DXVA in the Sonic filters I'm using since DXVA doesn't seem to work right with the integrated geforce2 mx video I have on my nforce MB (this DXVA issue is a problem with any apps that use the overlay/VMR, not just Sage). Does Sage pickup the DXVA setting on my Sonic filters or does it always try to force DXVA? The video settings dialog shows the interlace settings for the decoder but I don't see a setting to turn DXVA on/off. Any chance of getting on-screen controls while in full-screen mode in a future release... maybe showing the SageRecorder dialog with an autohide function? |

There is no way to turn DXVA explicitly off in Sage; but if you disable it in the control panel for the MPEG2 decoder filter; then Sage won't see the DXVA or at least it will fail when it tries to use it and default to something that's non-DXVA.
As for a more advanced OSD for SageRecorder; there's no current plans for one; but that'll likely be redone at some point in the future (don't ask when, I have no idea yet). SageTV has this functionality already. Thanks,
