Definitive answer on EPG Update times
Is what I am looking for
There doesn't seem to be much logic to it. I am/have been struggling with my XMLTV importer and therefore also with EPG Update. I was using the trick of disabling enabling a channel to force an update. The first time it did that and scheduled the next one for 24hours later. Now currently when I force an update, it just keeps the next update scheduled for whatever was there (not 24hours after forcing). Sometimes it updates after a service restart, sometimes not... This morning it said update at 6 pm, I started fiddling with the grabber and importer and it decided to do an EPG update, very conveniently directly after my XMLTV import....how did it know about this?? So I am really wondering how the timing of this mechanism works. I'd like to have it update once a day, either in the early morning or maybe just before prime time, but like this, there;s no way I can be sure of the update schedule?? And also, I have to schedule the grab and import of my XMLTV data... |

FAQ.
(next update is 24h after last successful update, whether automatic or forced)... Edit: >Now currently when I force an update, it just keeps the next update scheduled for whatever was there It does then while the update is still in progress (it also says last update is 0 mins ago)

I know that's what it is supposed to be, but that's not what I am seeing.
I did have a successfull import, but the next update was not reset to 24 hours but stayed what it was. |
