But other than that, it's all blank.
This does sound exactly like the problem I had. Resolved by changing Java version. Not home now to check, but look for my message previously with the version I used to get it to work.

Of course maybe the Java change was just a happy coincidence.

I completely removed and re-downloaded Java before posting, as I'd seen the Java issue already discussed. *arg!* I don't know enough about this to know what to try on my own. I'm SO sorry!

Think I may have figured it out. Delete your existing menu item you created and redo it. I think you selected "Webradio Now Playing by koelec" when it should have been "WebRadio by koelec".

Give it a shot and let me know.

Question THANKS!

It's working great! There are a few stations that won't play, and I've fiddled with the text file a bit, but I can't figure a few listings out. It's not a biggie, but if anyone has any luck playing the following, please let me know. These are copied directly from how they appear in my stationlist.txt file.

The 80s Groove ,http://88.191.34.75:8000
NPR News Boston ,http://205.234.188.21:80
Channel X - Modern Rock ,http://212.72.186.10:8072
Streaming Soundtracks ,http://209.9.226.71:80
Radio Disney , http://69.28.128.148:80/stream/abcrad_radiodisney
Kid Mix Radio ,http://212.48.126.146:9270
Children Education & Entertainment ,http://71.40.156.90:8000

I'm particularly interested in the Soundtracks and the 3 kid stations at the end of the list.

Heidi, the IP addresses used in a large number of shoutcast stations are dynamic and change from time to time. That is the one thing that frustrated me with the web player. However, koelec is coming out with a new player soon supported by slim server that will accept a standard URL name (.pls) that will not require updating of hard-coded numeric IP addresses.

But here are some updated addresses that I found for the staions you listed:
The 80s Groove ,http://88.191.34.75:8000 http://88.191.34.83:8000
NPR News Boston ,http://205.234.188.21:80 http://205.234.188.21:80

Streaming Soundtracks ,http://209.9.226.71:80 http://205.234.188.21:80
Radio Disney , http://69.28.128.148:80/stream/abcrad_radiodisney http://24.173.144.226:8000
Kid Mix Radio ,http://212.48.126.146:9270 http://24.173.144.226:8000
Children Education & Entertainment ,http://71.40.156.90:8000 ???

I bet my kids will like a few of those...

SageMC 6.2 Global Volume OSD

This import doesn't follow the global volume OSD setting in SageMC 6.2. Any chance of fixing it?

Of course! I added volume display in this page before Dirk made the global volume addition to the SageMC STV. That is what I was hoping for anyway. Look for it soon.

Afraid not Juc, It would have to be played though the Sage internal player, and it is not setup to handle audio streams.

Not yet. I need to get the SlimPlayer out of the way first. I had to reconstruct my server and from that had a silly problem with the slimserver until I realized that problem today.

After the SlimPlayer is out, you really may want to consider going to that. It's pretty sweet. And no more fooling with hard coded station lists which also get outdated...

yeah yeah I know. It's just one more thing to have to setup and have running all the time. I wanted to stay away from it until I have an actual dedicated server.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't import this plugin. I extracted it to the SageTv/SageTv folder & I can see the webradio_sagemc_import_1_1b.xml in the STVs/SageTV3 folder when I browse with explorer, but when I click on "import stvi" it doesn't show this file.

Are you trying to import it from the Advanced menu in detailed setup or from the SageMC menu? Once you are running SageMC, stvi imports need to run from the SageMC settings menu.

Simply go to Settings, and choose Import STVi.

Also, be advised it is not compatible with the newest sageMC's theme system. Therefore, no matter what theme you use, it will likely be using a different theme.

The functionality still works though.

I wish kolec was still working on this plugin. I tried the slim server plugin but couldn't get it to work well, and what I did get working I thought was WAY overkill to listen to radio.

It would be nice to have this updated, especially with the ability to detect a broken stream and not sit there "spinning"
