3-1 time warp

I know time flies when you're having fun, but this is ridiculous! I have some shows recorded recently where the time display jumps up 3 seconds every one second of real time. The video plays at the normal speed, but when the it gets up to the full time display it freezes, even though there is still 2/3 of the show left. Playing the .mpg file in another app has similar time related problems. Other shows recorded the same day seem to be okay.

Any ideas?

Since you are having problems with more the just Sage when playing the MPG it is probably a recording problem. Some of them can be corrected by doing a "Quickstream Fix" in VideoRedo. You might try that to see if it will then play correctly.

I had the same problem when I updated my PVR500 drivers to the latest version. I added the registry settings discussed here and it fixed all of my problems. Of course it won't fix current recordings only future ones since the problem was with the capture not playback.

I believe there are some listed for hauppauge and then some for Sage. All I had to add were the ones for hauppauge.

Thanks. Driver updates are usually the first thing I try. Not sure why I didn't think of it this time.
