How to avoid jumping to end of recording in progress?

I know somebody else posted on this topic during the World Cup but I can't seem to find the thread......

If I choose to watch a recording that is in progress, then stop watching to go look at something else, then come back to the original recording Sage jumps to "real time" instead of picking up where I left off. I'm tired of finding out who won the race before I've watched it ( ) so I thought I'd try to fix this problem. It must be something simple but sure can't figure it out.

Thanks.

I second this request. This behavior ruined the final round of the British Open for me last weekend.

I thought Sage used to resume where you left off on recordings in progress? I've never watched many so I could be mistaken.

When starting a show that's still in progress if you press the RW button as soon as you start playing the recording it will jump back to the very beginning. I don't know if you've already watched part of it it will go back to the very beginning, where you left off, or jump back the regular RW amount of time.

I just make a habit of pressing RW immediately after playback started, this would make it resume at the correct position where you left off. If you are watching sports and don't want to see the current score, then close your eyes or look away while you press the RW button.

But yes, this is a known bug and hopefully will be fixed soon.

OK, I'll close my eyes and press the RW button. This reminds me of an old door we had in the house I grew up in, the only way to open it was to close your eyes, turn the knob to the left, and say $h1t out loud.
