NVidia DualTV MCE with Hauppauge 250's

Has anyone successfully set up a system with these cards? My server had a PVR 500 and 3 PVR 250's. I ordered a DualTV MCE to replace one of the 250's, and it absolutely crippled the system. I could boot, but the video card wasn't recognized correctly no matter what I did or what drivers I installed. After stripping the system down, I found that the DualTV and PVR 500 would coexist fine, but any combination of the DualTV and a PVR 250 would cause the problem.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any solutions? Anyone want to buy some 250's?

I just setup a system with two PVR 250 and a DualTV for a friend with no problems using nForce 2 board. I am having a problem similar to your on my own system using an nForce3 board and cannot get two PVR-500, a Fusion RT and ATI Radeon X800 to all work. Problem is like your the video card will not come up properly because of a lack of resources not allowing both the primary and secondary output drivers to load. Removing any of the input cards will let it load properly. Check your device manager and see if you video card is loaded at all. Funny this is that everything works fine with a cheapo VIA board but I needed more slots for another HDTV tuner.

Yep, that's the exact same error - not enough resources. I'm also on an nForce3 motherboard, but with an nVidia 5700 (or maybe 5200, can't recall) video card. I guess I'll just have to live with it unless I want to replace the motherboard and CPU (stupid socket 754).

I originally had 2-PVR250 and 1-nVidia Dual Tuner with no issues. I was using an old ASUS board with nForce2 chipset. What I did was disable all the ports I wasn't using like serial, parallel. midi, floppy controller, etc. to free up any unused resources. That way one of the PVR250 grabbed IRQ7-typically used for printing.

Thanks, I'll check to make sure that everything is disabled - they should be, but it's been more than a year since I set this up.

I've been running a DualTV with two PVR250-16s for a couple of months now and they seem to co-exist just fine. I'm using an Intel motherboard with a 945 chipset.

One thing to note is that there is no ability to change brightness levels with the current DualTV driver. I have a very apparent brightness difference between the 250s and the DualTV. Other than that they play well together.

Andy.
