5.0.4 *WEIRD* audio issue
Here's one for the books. 5.0.4 install has been working perfectly until last week. Machine has ATI HDTV Wonder for OTA and Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 using S-vid and audio in for DirecTV. I'm running two clients on two PCs and one wireless MVP.
All the clients INCLUDING the wireless MVP work PERFECTLY. The SageTV machine (that is, the one running the server and has the cards in it) -- you can watch TV with audio on the OTA HDTV Wonder card, but you get video only on the main SageTV box. HUH?! All remotes get all audio. Main unit only gets ATI OTA audio -- Hauppauge gives video with no audio. Ponder that one.... it's got to be connected right or the remotes wouldn't have sound on channels served by the Hauppauge. I'm missing something somewhere. As usual, I beg your indulgences. |

I get a no audio condition using the Nvidia Purevideo decoder.
I don't know if it's a limitation of the trial version or it has to be turned on somewhere. I haven't searched for the cause much lately because frankly I'm exhausted with SageTV and all the constant audio, video (though mostly good now), and hanging issues. Playing MP3s through the media player constantly hangs or errors randomly. I'm just tired. |

Well, heck. Thanks for the link! That fixed the Nvidea audio.
Jeez. How the hell would anyone figure that out unless they clicked every single possible combination of settings or got the info from Nvidia directly? More time on their hands than I have, that's for sure. |
