licensing - I submitted a tech support request

But I figured I'd try here as well hoping to get a faster reponse.

I rebuilt my server last night/this morning. By rebuilt, I mean I started at FDISK. Wiped everything.

This morning got SageTV running. Before I installed the license, I tested everything and made sure it was working.

I went to work, remembered I forgot to input the license, and did it remotely (remote desktop). Wanted to do it before my wife tried to use it.

Came home tonight and found out SageTV was still showing "trial" on the screen.

However, I'm not totally certain if Sage is running in trial or if my media mvp is.

I have one sage media extender connected. That's the only place I see the 15day trial issue. I don't remember having to put a license code in for the extender. I did reboot the extender, restarted the sagetv service, restarted the sagetv server, still get the trial on the screen for the extender.

I also launched sagetv on the server with the register command and reentered my license. still no luck. followed that with another reboot.

help!

See p. 255 in the v5 PDF manual (Appendix M); it explains how to register your extender license.

I've got a sage mvp bought from sage. This isn't a hauppauge mvp with a sage license.

I shouldn't have to do this in this scenario, right?

I don't think I had to when I first bought this (and I don't remember getting a license for it).

Yes it is. The Sage extenders are Hauppauge MVPs.

what I meant - I didn't buy it from hauppauge and buy the license separately. I meant i bought it from sage bundled with the license.

But anyway - nevermind.
