Client Key Issue
OK... Per a previous thread I bought a Sage Client license with the intent of loading it on my wife's machine. To test everything out I loaded my laptup and got everything working. Closed the laptop down and loaded my wifes's machine. Now when I enter the key I get an invalid key, key can not be used on more than one machine. From the previous thread I thought the limitation was that I could not use a single license on two machines at the same time. Now I am screwed as it was wife's machine that was to be the primary user.

Thanks...
It looks like this solution would still require me to purchase a new client license. |

Actually I got that too. But then I exited the SageTV Server and started it again. After I did that it worked fine....doh...I forgot that when I posted about the licensing before.
I think it keeps track of the last one even though it is disconnected. Sorry if I mislead you in the last thread Jeff explains this as the fix in this thread http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...client+license EDIT: Maybe Jeff will change the way this works in the future as I think the client license should limit how many simultaneous users access the server as opposed to being tied to the physical machine. Updated my post in the other thread Sorry again John

Thanks John...
That's OK about missing the point about needing to reboot the server. It means I can't do what I hoped to do but at least I can get my wife's machine going. What I wanted to do was use the laptop to schedule programs through the client. I hate to have to spend another $30 just to get that capability when web scheduling is comming with the next release (I hope)... |

I don't think web sechuling was ever promised for the next release. But you never know.

Actually in another thread Jeff said that a webserver accidentally got built into 2.0.
I am guessing that means web scheduling is a possibility. John
