AMD, Nvidia, Sagetv and an HD client

Hi,

I am considering building a couple of lower cost clients. They will be doing SD for now, but I want the ability to move up to HD when my tv sets get replaced. I am thinking that onboard video from a nvidia 6150 based mobo would do just fine for now and I can always slide in a pci-x16 vid card in the future.

The real question lies in which processor to choose. These machines will be strictly limitied to sage duties. With that in mind I was hoping to be in the $100 neighborhood on the processor. That has me considering the 3500+, 3700+ and 3800+ AMD Athlon64's.

Anyone have any experience doing HD with any of these processors??

TIA

Jesse

I would imagine that any of those would be sufficient being as I get by with a AMD 64 3000.
