Will this Hardware setup work well with SageTV?

Hello all-

I am currently considering converting my current HTPC from Windows Media Center to SageTV. I would like to use the current older hardware I have for about the next year. I just want to make sure that it will work effectively with SageTV before I make the move. I would also like to use the older Media MVP I bought recently as an extender. This is a dedicated HTPC, no gaming.

Here is my current hardware:
Athlon XP 2400+
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe w/soundstorm audio
512 meg DDR400
ATI Radeon 9600 video card
250 gig TV storage drive
250 gig 2 partitions(40 gig for OS, the rest for movies and video)
120 gig MP3 drive
NEC dvd burner
Two WinTV PVR-150MCE tuner cards
MCE '05 remote
Older Hauppauge Media MVP.

Will this setup work effectively with a somewhat standard installation of SageTV and extender?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks AMG!

How hard was it to get the MVP to work as an extender? WHat steps did you have to take?

Thanks!

Matt

- With Sage shutdown Register Extender license
- Enable extender in detailed setup
- plug in MVP (power and network)
- enjoy

It may have not been that simple, but it was close.

you will have to use that 9600 in overlay most likely though but other than that you should be fine.

I am 99% sure that I am using VMR9 with my 9600 (SD only).

I am pretty sure that my 9600 is currently running VMR9 under MCE. That shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for all your help!
