laggy UI since 5.04 upgrade
It's very noticable, takes 2-3 seconds to bring up the guide from watching a show (live or recorded). Same with going to main menu etc. Anyone else have a laggy UI? Any suggestions? 3D acceleration is enabled and I'm not using Full Screen Exclusive (I did try it but it didn't help).

With 5.04 VMR9 gave me a really slow UI ...
When I last reinstalled SageTV I tried advanced mode over standard for video playback and the menus were very laggy on my ATI AIW 9600XT with AMD 2600 XP+ and 1GB Dual Channel Ram on an Abit AN7 motherboard.
After a self imposed glitch (I was trying to stop SageTV from recording anything from 4:45 to 4:50 am by setting up four manual records so I could perform a daily reboot, nothing would record at any time after that as my tuners would drop out - something in the logs about unable to open tuner x no memory) I reinstalled SageTV and Java 1.5.0_08 -- I chose the Standard Video mode in the Setup Wizard and confirmed I was using Overlay with Full Screen Exclusive Mode set to No and 3D Acceleration was Enabled, my UI and SageTV sped up incredibly.
