I did send this to technical support, but I figure it couldn't hurt to post it here also...
I installed SageTV on one PC to test, and everything worked well. It controlled my DCT-2000 cable box, and recorded as I expected. So far, so good. Next, I installed the latest trial version (5.0.4.92) on another OC that will loikely become the permanent install, and now, the IR blaster does not work properly. SageTV's IR setup screens do not display any cable boxes, so I suspect that it doesn't know what codes to send. I did run the Haupauge IR Config separately, and it DID have the DCT-2000 listed, so I selected it and it tested just fine. I went back into SageTV, and again, the IR doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Dang it! I did a complete restart, (shutdown / power on) and it now works. I guess something wasn't completely shut down when I made the changes.
The good news is it works!!! ![]()
