Review of a new flash-based hard drive (32 GB) prototype by Samsung. Perhaps this could be the next step for noiseless multimedia client boxes?

SprDtyF350: I was under the same impression. However, Samsung is already using this technology as hard drives for some of their higher end laptops. This would suggest that they have overcome the issue with flash memory lifespan that you point out.
