"Failed to load lirc_i2c"
I did a clean install of both Gentoo (2006.0) and SageTV (v5.0.6.1). At boot time, I noticed a "Failed to load lirc_i2c" status. I emerged the latest lirc (lirc-0.8.0-r5.ebuild) and did manage to get my Streamzap remote working, but I still get the boot-time error message about lirc_i2c not loading.
I don't quite get how the Streamzap is working when lirc_i2c won't load. I'd like to fix this, but not sure where to look (linux newb). TIA for any help. The Sage is otherwise working pretty well, so far. Had to do lots of little annoying tweaks to get it stable; it would have been nice to have a linux-oriented manual <hint, hint>. |

OK, I now see that lirc_i2c is not an appropriate module for the Streamzap.
