IR Extender ? Need to remote control hidden htpc

What device should I get so that I can hide the htpc in the wall unit and still have the remote control work ?

I ordered the 250 (when it comes in) so it will need to work with that. I thought I saw come kind of device that lets you mount a little infrared eye/capture thingy that will then transmit the signal to the hidden htpc.

Any ideas ?

Radio shack sells a remote extender that works very well. I use mine to relay IR signals to my basement where I have my htpc and my receiver set up.

If youre willing to spend $39 you can get an ATI remote wonder that is X10, you can control it from another room if you want. I highly recommend it, it has more buttons than the Hauppauge remote and can control anything on your PC (especially when used with girder)
