Editing the names for Timed Recordings
Hello,
When I want to record a show on tv, I use the program guide. Afterwards, I can easily browse the tv shows by their names, except for tv shows I record on that only channel with no data (TVA West). After I record a few ones, It gets really hard to figure out what show is what. It would be nice if I could edit the name of the recordings within sagetv. Thank you,

Its odd that this didn't get into the v6 feature list. There's no way to name or rename timed recording yet, but I'm sure the developer is aware of it. I know in BeyondTV, you can specify a name for a timed recording.

Once it is recorded, you might be able to 'edit show info' with my webserver to give it a name

I installed the webserver... cool! I like the option for the upcoming movies!
I think i have looked everywhere for the option to change the name of the "Timed Recording" and i just can't find it, can you tell where to find it? You are also saying that i can only change it when the show has been recorded? and not through my favorites/schedule? Thanks,

Selected the recorded show -- brings up the detailed info page. At the bottom there is [edit show info]. try it on a test recording first as this is something to be done at your own risk.

All right, got it! I really like the web interface, as it's easier to manage sagetv than opening the application everytime...
I mostly use my MediaMVP to watch my shows so the sagetvservice is the only thing i usually run on my pc... I have 2 suggestions/questions: - Can the renamed tvshows be stored in "Archived Recording" and not in "Sage Recordings" with all the rest of the recorded stuff? - Why can't we set/edit the name as we "Create Timed Recording"? Thanks,

1) they already are (they will have the [A] icon -- check your filtering options)
2) It's not possible with the current version of Sage. (Sage is really designed to record using an EPG; Timed recordings are a bit of an afterthought!)
