keep recordings during reinstall

If i completely uninstall SageTV and reinstall it and point it at the same recording directory, will it keep my original recordings? What files would I need to back up to save things such as favorites?

The wiz.bin file keeps the details of favourites and recordings so save this and copy into the Sage directory after install.

Your recordings won't be deleted during a reinstall, even if you lose the wiz.bin file but they will appear as imported videos rather than TV Recordings without it.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS make a copy of your entire SageTV folder. It won't take a lot of space and allows a full reversion if you need it...
