Multiple music enteries???

I have all of my music stored in mp3 only format ripped at 160k and all ID tags verified by music match. the directory structure is Artist, albumn and the song title is artist track song. everything works fine in other software, Sage for some reason list songs and albumns multiple times. There is no pattern to this at all, except many if not all albumns and songs are listed multiple times. Has anyone else seen this? MY MCE box accesses the same structure without an issue.

Thanks,
-Skybolt

Me 2.

It took me a while to find, but there are some ID3 tag fields that most editors do not show, like the Composer tag. If this is different to the Artist (even just by a change in capitalisation) Sage will list the track twice (or more)

The tag editor in WMP9 (right click a track in the library or now playing list, and select Advanced tag editor) will show these fields...

Damm... Wow that's alot of editing. I have close to 60gig ripped MP3 at 160K by music match. I hope Version 6 fixes this. Only the basics should be enough and definetly not capitalization, as you have pointed out and are 100% correct. That must have been a major pain to figure out.
Thanks for a quick reply.

I've got this issue as well. I assumed it was related to me copying over my entire collection and getting duplicates that way.

To help me debug... Is there way to remove my entire music collection, without actually deleting the files, from Sage, and then add it back?

Well Tech support responded by saying exactly what nielm said, even capitalization is flagged. meaning "rush" <> "Rush" and will cause library problems. They said I needed to resolve these issues myself, by fixing all of the tags properly! The problem here is, that most of my library was ripped by Music Match and the rest by WMP9/10. I made the mistake of trying a free re-tagging app. Big mistake, real big mistake. Two weeks later I am back where I started. Now I am re-re-tagging with WMP11, but with close to 1100 albums ripped that alot of work! Very disappointed with Tech's response, you would think something like capitalization would be over looked automaticlly. very disapointing.
