Client - Auto thumbnails

On my main Sage pc I have a folder /movies with all my imported videos and for each video a .jpg. Such as "Crash.mpg" and "Crash.jpg".

My client decided to generate its own thumbnails instead of using the .jpg.

Can I change this?

You should be able to see the specified thumbnails on any client...

Did those videos ever use some other thumbnail, such as folder.jpg, before you switched to naming them the same as the video file?

What version of the v6 beta are you using?

Try this: remove "movies" as an import dir in SageTV. Rename the directory to something else, perhaps "movie", then add that as an import dir in SageTV. Either restart SageTV or use Refresh Imported Media on the Setup menu. Do you see the correct thumbnails now?

I just purchased the client recently so I am new to this.

The movies folder has always been there and along with the jpg. I do not add a movie without there being a jpg.

I am using the very first beta of version 6 (6.011 I believe). I loved it so much I did not see a reason to upgrade it and even decided to purchase a client.

I will try what you have suggested tonight when I get home.

So, did you mean that the thumbnails were only wrong on the client & not the server? If so, then what I suggested probably won't do much.

If you are going to run the beta, then I suggest updating it, since a lot of things get fixed between releases.
