Copied DVDs don't list in video library

I'm having trouble with SageTV 5.0 seeing my DVD movies. I have unencrypted DVD's on my SageTV 5.0 clients hard drive, all other video & recordings are on a seperate server. I've added the directory path \\CLIENT\Storage\DVDs to my Media Center Import Directories. Under the DVDs directory I have a folder for each movie name and under that a \VIDEO_TS directory which contains the VOB files and such. For whatever reason, there are no movies that show up in my Video Library. Any ideas?

Does SageTV have permission to access that network path? If using service mode, is the service logging in as a user w/a password who has access permission?

Did you go into Setup and initiate a manual media import?

Do you get any clues from the log file?

Log file??? I looked for any file that might be a log file but didn't see any within the \SageTV directory. Searched the v5 manual and didn't see any reference to a log file...

I've also tried mapping my DVD directory to drive Y:\ on my server and client, but the drive letter doesn't show up in Sage setup, though it's visable to Windows.

Here you go, Logging info from the FAQ
Quote:
Q: I have a problem using SageTV and was asked to enable debug logging. How do I do that?

A: There is a property file setting to enable debug logging.

Edit sage.properties and add this line:

debug_logging=TRUE

Enter the line exactly as shown above. TRUE must be in all CAPS for this property.

Before editing the properties file, make sure SageTV or the service is not running. If you edit the properties file while SageTV is running, the change will be ignored.

If you are using a client, edit sageclient.properties instead.

After this change, SageTV will create a new sagetv_0.txt and/or sagetvclient_0.txt log file each time it is run. Save those files from when a problem occurs to help track down a problem -- they can be emailed to betatest at sagetv.com

I just tried adding DVDs to Sage too. I'm using v6 (not sure if this goes for v5 too), but if you look on top there are different categories of imports it shows. You have to pick DVDs which you need to change the category a couple of times to show.
