Feature Request: Have Play button toggle OSD
OK, so my "other DVR" colors are showing again...
I think SageTV's playback navigation is well implemented, but there's one small improvement that I would like to see: When you are watching Live TV or playing back a recording, when you hit the Play button, it nicely displays the compact OSD on the bottom of the screen. Hit it again, and nothing happens (OK, so it DOES reset the OSD timeout.) How about having the Play button toggle the OSD on and off? So while viewing, I press Play, and it plays and the OSD comes on. I press Play while the OSD is displayed, and it dismisses the OSD. Pressing it again toggles it on again, etc. It doesn't affect the timeout setting other than to dismiss the OSD if it's displayed. Currently I have to hit the [i] button to quickly dismiss the OSD. Not a big deal, but it would certainly streamline viewing.
