DVD playback not working in 6.0.14?
Just installed the 6.0.14 release today, and I must say this release has seriously messed up dvd playback on my system. With .14, the dvd menus no longer work, and there is no ac3 / dts sound (spdif passthrough). Switching back to .13 (and unregistering the Sage ac3filter installation, re-registering original ac3filter.ax, restoring settings... aargh....) dvd playback is OK again, so this seems to be a Sage issue. Anybody else seeing this?
OS: XP Pro Video codec: cyberlink powerdvd. Audio codec: AC3filter1.10b |

DVD playback was a total no go for me with 6.0.14.
It wont even start a DVD, I get an error about Macrovision and CSS or something like that. That is with a real DVD in the drive. With a DVD on the hard drive i get no sound.. Gone back to 6.0.13 for now (In the middle of Band of Brothers on DVD. Need DVD working!)

Same here:
"There was a DVD Error in playback. Details: sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-8,0x2): There is a problem playing the DVD content due to Macrovision or CSS." Well, back to 6.0.13 I guess. |

Oh, and SageTV totally died after the above message. I had to kill it from the Task Manager.

it seems like the sage mpeg decoder is setting itself as default - that's my only guess as to the css issues?
to be truthful i really wish that i didn't have to clutter my installation with the sage codecs and ac3 filter - just don't need them since most of us are running purevideo or cyberlink and mplayer pretty much takes care of where ac3 filter was useful for divx/xvid files. |

Thanks for the head's up; that does 'fix' the audio playback for dvd's on my harddrive, although the sound is now so far out of sync that the offset almost has to be measured in minutes rather than seconds.. :-(
Playback for regular DVD's in my drive is still screwed up though.. Time to go file that bug report. |

I had all these same problems over last weekend. Then I went to the beta page and found the new Dshowplayer.dll and unzipped it to the sagetv directory, everything worked...
