MCE Remote - Some buttons not working
I decided to ditch my Streamzap remote setup for the MCE remote (have the same remote on my HTPC). This remote works properly with SageTV on the HTPC, but I'm having some issues with it on my desktop PC.
The following buttons do not work: Record, stop, pause, FFWD/RWD, play, back, vol, channel, and mute. When I do "show linked commands" for the affected buttons, SageTV does not report any input. MCE remote is selected as remote type. I have the following devices that I think might have something to do with the problem: Logitech Elite keyboard (some media keys) X-Fi front audio bay with IR receiver (IR functions disabled in preferences) I tried uninstalling the software for my keyboard, but it made no difference. Any ideas?

Fixed it!
I reinstalled the device, but manually selected "HID-compliant consumer control device" instead of the other option "HID-compliant device" that Windows was selecting during the Automatic driver install.

I found the fix was simple - change your video renderer to VMR9 for both video and dvd.
Not sure why this creates the problem but definitely fixed it for me - reproduced the issue and solution on two different machines 1 running WinXP and the othe Win7. Fixed it in both cases. |
