WISH: Adaptable Recording Schedules

I just got burned this week by ABC deciding to overlap Grey's Anatomy with ER by having the show run ten minutes beyond the hour. The result was I got none of Grey's Anatomy, which was frustrating since there was a conflict with the start of ER.

I would like to suggest a feature for Adaptable Recording that would allow the user to specify, based on priority or manual selection, that regardless of overlaps, two programs would still be recorded.

For example, if Grey's was higher priority than ER, then Grey's would record to the end of it's time and ER would then start recording in progress. I would get all of Grey's and most of ER which would be fine since the first 10 minutes of a show are usually picking up from last episode.

If ER were higher priority, Grey's would record until the ER start time. I would at least get most of Grey's in this scenario, rather than none.

I would be interested if anyone else would love to have this type of feature implemented. To the best of my knowledge, NO DVR software has this type of adaptable recording available.
