i'm on comcast in fort myers and if i can get that many QAM channels in the clear i'll be buying a HD homerun tonight!!!!!

(just to clarify - do you subscribe to a digital lineup at all or are you hitting all those from basic cable simulcast?)

June 2008: When installing HD-PVR, got HD receiver; tried Firewire recording; only non-HD unencrypted QAM channels were available; firewire channel change is working
May 2008: ReORG of channels by TimeWarner. Added: ESPN2, HIST, DISC, HGTV
Aug 2007: DiscoveryHD and TNTHD were encrypted by TimeWarner.
Mar 2007: INHD, UniversalHD, and HDNet were encrypted by TimeWarner.
Jan 2007: INHD, DiscoveryHD, UniversalHD, and HDNet play properly with the Dec31 updates for HDHR.

There are a few others that occasionally have video, but they appear to e other peole watching VOD stuff, and they come and go.


I get MUCH better results from my HD Cable box via firewire (12 HD channels in the clear, including HBO & a few others), as well as all SD programming working (but it puts the black bars on left & right sides, if it didn't do that, I'd use it for all channels).

Hopefully I can get the No Signal errors fixed soon, or I can't really justify the purchase, and you'll probably see it go up for sale, and I'll see about at least one more HD box and a dual-analog tuner.

*EDIT* The dshowcapture.dll from the 6.0.16 release thread seems to have fixed the error with No Signal. I'll have more time to test tonight. Now If I can just figure out how to get the guide date for all the channels I have, I'll be happy. Can you still download custom data from Zap2It? Or anybody suggest another guide data provider I can customize the channel lineup?

Well, looks like i jinxed myself, all channels are 5c'ed on the box except the same locals I get with the HDHR now, lol.
