Trying to get this configuration right: MCE blaster w/viewsat extreme fta receiver
Currently I'm using MCE2005 trying to switch over to sagetv and I have an nvidia dualtv card viewsat extreme fta receiver and mce remote. I was able to get this software configured right but Having some difficult getting the ir blaster for the mce remote to change the channels on the viewsat stb. Any recommendations on how to get this to work. Thanx All

SageTV does not use the MCE blaster directly. Check out the MCE blaster links towards the bottom of the list in Information Resources for Remotes, Receivers, and IR Blasters. There should be some info regarding using it via Girder or HIP.
Edit: Oh. Isn't that what was suggested the last time you asked this? Did you check out those links yet? If so and you need more details, please be more specific. Edit 2: changed thread title to add info about blaster + stb - Andy

yes actually I tried one of the guides for the mce remote but it still does not control my viewsat stb. I don't think i was specific on the stb I was trying to control. I used the guide for mce remote using hip but I try to program using the remote but it doesnt seem to recognize it. Thanx
