Success in Playback with ATI AIW????
Is there any reported success in playing back Sage recorded files with ATI's AIW products? I have an AIW 7500 that and it would be great to use its software "multimedia center" for playback because the remote and functionality far exceeds the Hauppauge. Ease of use, RF, skip ahead and back multiple times play speed.....not just up to 4x like Hauppauge. Any success from anyone and confirmation on the codec that is successful would be much appreciated. I prefer Sage and Hauppauge to record, and playback anc synchronization is very good with Sage, but less so with AIW Multimedia Center today and I wondered what settings someone has had success with.

I have played back my sage recordings with the multimedia software from my ATI8500DV card. I've been using the ravicient decoders.
Have you tried this, and it didn't work? John

Have not....but will try and let you know.....playback has always worked....the problem I have experienced with MMC from ATI is loss of synch between audio and video after scrolling around significantly through the program....I am not sure, however, what decoders I was using...will try again

ATI has audio/video sync problems because they're doing all software encoding in their MMC. If the files are recorded by the hauppauge card you should have no sync problems whatsoever.

I agree with Jeff. I have never had any sync issues playing back files recorded with Sage. I have however experienced the sync issues with using the MMC from ATI to do both the capture and playback.
