New SageTV user

I currently run MCE on a slower machine and am in the process of migrating over to a new PC for SageTV. The new machine will have:

Asus A8N MB w/ 7.1 Sound onboard
AMD 3800+ X2 CPU
2GB DDR RAM
EVGA 6800GT w/AC Silencer V5
WinXP Home Edition
40GB System HD
200 Data HD
Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500MCE
VBOX Cat's Eye DTA-150 ATSC Terrestrial HDTV Receiver
nVIDIA DVD Decoder Install CD
Microsoft MCE Remote Control and receiver
Harmony 680 Remote

I am using a Samsung HL-S5687W DLP HDTV.

I will be using a DVI to HDMI cable.

What would the best drivers to use for the 6800GT to get the full 1080 output? Any particular settings I need to know about?

Also I have used AC3Filter pass the 5.1 output through the SPID (TOSLink) jack to my 5.1 receiver. Will this work for SageTV as well? Will I need to install the Purevideo decoder?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

John

Nice system.
You should benefit in trying NVIDIA pureVideo decoder software for a 30 day test drive. That's what I use for 5.1/DTS output through my SPID (TOSLink) jack to my receiver.

I just an email back from SageTV support concerning the VBOX Cat's Eye DTA-150 ATSC Terrestrial HDTV:

John,

Unfortunately, that capture device is not supported. Here is a list of
currently supported capture cards. http://www.sage.tv/requirements.html

If you're looking for a compatible capture device for SageTV, we have very
good deals on card/software bundles on our website:

Does anyone have a VBOX Cat's Eye DTA-150 ATSC Terrestrial HDTV tuner card and have it working with SageTV? I do not know the difference between the DAT-150 and DTA-151 cards.

I have the NVIDIA PureVideo Decoder OEM disk. Does anyone know what level the OEM version is compared to the Branze, Gold and Platinum?

I just installed the OEM disk on my parent's box that I built them. IIRC, it was Bronze.

The Cats Eye DTA-150 is supported by SageTv. I have three of these cards in my Sage server.

It may be usable in Sage, and I have seen posts by users saying that. However, it is not on the Sage's supported list. The DTA-151 is.

Before I try this... will SageTV work with the MCE remote and receiver on a WinXp Home PC? If so what drivers are required? Thanks
