Network Encoding
hi i was reading the manual for SageTV in appendix G for the network encoding setup.
The network encoding requires SageRecorder but I found in another thread that the SageRecorder is outdated and does not support the same tuners as SageTV. 1. Does anyone have instructions on how to configure this with SageTV? I tried the steps in the URL http://www.sagetv.com/2_papers/NetworkEncoderSetup.txt but this does not work. 2. Am I reducing any load off the encoding server when I let clients attach to another server that has no encoding card? Thanks, I'm using 5.04 as trial.

Ok What I have is that with network encoding I can't view any HD OAR channels. I can view all regular channels.
When I attach to the encoding machine which is still a SageTV server, I can view HD OAR channels. Anyone know why? Last edited by hocky98; 12-04-2006 at 07:05 PM.
