An exception occurred in Java:
I was using SageTV and it completely locked and I had to hard boot the computer. After it rebooted, I received the following error when launching SageTV:
An exception occurred in Java: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Malformed \uxxxx encoding. SageTV will not open at all. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled SageTV, but I still receive the same Java error. I have also reinstalled the Java Runtime environment. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

We renamed the Sage.properties.autobackup to Sage.properties and things are better. The broken one is 528KB, the working one is 134KB (both sizes are likely to vary). For us, this is in C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\. Good luck.
