Fusion Devices
The Fusion cards have about 8 devices active in hardware manager, if I recall correctly. Has anyone ever figured out which ones need to be active for Sage?
I'm thinking the fewer the better, and that perhaps they aren't all necessary. |

My RT Lite cards have only three devices per card. Perhaps they're not all necessary, but on the other hand if it ain't broke...

Not sure what an RT lite card is, but the Fusions have a lot of devices, and Fusion isn't exactly a great software company, so IMHO, the fewer active, the better.
BTW, I should specify that I'm only recording OTA HD, in case that might matter. |

OK, I can't count. Looking at it again, my FusionHDTV5 RT Lites have five (not three) devices per card:
FusionHDTV BDA Receiver FusionHDTV WDM Video Capture -- FusionHDTV BDA Tuner -- FusionHDTV WDM Crossbar -- FusionHDTV WDM Tuner The WDM Video Capture is the one used by Sage, but from the connection graph I'm guessing it needs (at least) the WDM Crossbar and WDM Tuner as well. No idea if it's safe to disable the BDA stuff. If you want to experiment with that, let us know how it turns out. And sure, I get that software isn't their main thing. All the more reason, the way I look at it, not to stray too far from the well-tested default config.

I've got the DViCO FusionHDTV5 Gold card. Does this work with SageTV?

The Gold Plus is on the compatibility list, for what that's worth.
I should mention, though, that in the two years since this thread was started, I've dumped my Fusion cards due to random bluescreen crashes and replaced them with Vbox USB tuners, which have worked flawlessly since day one.

I dumped my old Fusion5 Lite for an HDHomerun. It does a much better job of at receiving difficult signals, but if you have one by all means use it. I keep thinking I should do something with my old Fusion5 Lite, but I really don't know what I would do with it!
